Hello!! My name is Rachel and I'm a brow artist in San Mateo, licensed by the California Department of Health. I hold a valid tattoo license, work at a state approved facility, and have completed proper training to prevent cross-contamination of bloodborne pathogens (BBP certified).

POLICY:

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE and the full amount will be due during time of scheduled service. The deposit will go towards your total cost during the appointment but will not be refunded if appointment is cancelled or no show. (EXAMPLE: Total cost of service is $400, and you paid a $50 deposit, your total will be $350 the day of) Reminder that the $50 booking fee is non-refundable, even if you cancel the appointment.
- The $50 non-refundable booking fee will be charged on your card today.
- Prices are subject to change at anytime without notice.
- Touch up NOT included.

BY SENDING IN THE DEPOSIT, YOU ARE AGREEING TO ALL POLICIES.

PAYMENT METHODS:
Accepted payment methods for the remaining balance due at your appointment in CASH or Zelle.

CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY:
Clients can cancel 72 hours prior to the appointment time. Cancellations less than 72 hours before the appointment time is subject to a 50% service charge. A “no show” is someone who missed a scheduled appointment without cancelling or rescheduling 72 business hours in advance of their scheduled appointment. “No-shows” will be charged 100% of the session amount and deposit with be forfeited.

LATE ARRIVAL FOR YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT:
Please arrive on time to your appointment to ensure enough time for the service. If you arrive 15 minutes late or more, your appointment time will be cancelled, and your booking fee will be forfeited (Please consider traffic or any other problems that may arise. Tardiness leads to pushing back all of the day’s appointments, and it’s unfair to your artist and to the other clients. Please be considerate of everyone’s time).

RESCHEDULING:
I understand that things happen sometimes, and you might have to reschedule your appointment, so you may reschedule within a 72 hour advanced notice of your original appointment time and up to 1x only. If it is less than 72 hours, you will forfeit your deposit and it will be considered a cancellation. Please text or email to reschedule. (best way to reschedule)

HEALTH CLEARANCE:
Each client must clear all the qualifications below before booking an appointment:
- Must not be under the age of 18
- Must not be pregnant, breast feeding or nursing
- Must have a doctors note if you have diabetes
- Must not have received botox or injectable facial fillers within the last month (lip fillers are an exception)
- Must not be allergic to pigmentation and make up
- Must not be allergic to topical numbing agents, such as, but not limited to lidocaine, prilocaine, or epinephrine
- Must not be currently using Accutane or other steroids within the past year
- Must not have experienced post inflammatory hyper pigmentation
- Must not have hemophilia and/or healing disorders
- Must not be suffering from keloid and hypertrophic scarring on the facial area
- Must not be taking any immune-suppressing medication
- Must not have skin diseases such as skin cancer, psoriasis. eczema, and undiagnosed aches or blisters
- Must not have high blood pressure, heart conditions, glaucoma, or mitral valve disorder
- Must not be epileptic who has experienced faint spell or seizure
- Must not be using blood thinning prescriptions
- Must not have seborrheic dermatitis
- Must not be under or scheduled for radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment
- Must not have any transmittable blood related conditions such as Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS

The policies are made to help you have the best experience possible. If you have a concerning medical condition, please contact your doctor/ physician and receive clearance prior to the appointment.

If you do not clear all the qualifications above, please do not book an appointment.

Please be mindful of our “No Guest(s)” Policy, as the environment is not ideal for children, pets, or waiting guests due to the lengthy procedure time which can be uncomfortable and distracting for your guest(s) and for myself as the artist. PRECARE INSTRUCTIONS:

- Avoid alcohol 48 hours PRIOR to your appointment and NO CAFFEINE 24 hours before.
- Do not take any blood thinners such as Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen 72 hours PRIOR to your appointment.
- Do not wax, tweeze, or thread your brows three days before your appointment.
- Avoid sun and tanning bed exposure for 30 days before your procedure. As your skin exfoliate from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it which is not ideal for best results.
- Do plan any tropical vacations a minimum of 14 days after your procedure as you will need to protect your brows from the sun and water.
- We recommend you that you wear lashes for before and after photos however both eye makeup and foundation are completely optional.
- New Clients - Please fill in your brows as you normally would. You may bring inspiration photos so we can get an idea of your brow goals.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

POST TREATMENT:
- Avoid water for the first 24 hours after treatment
- Rinse the treated area with warm water and a gentle antibacterial soap (after 24 hours)
- Apply a thin layer of ointment (provided) with a cotton swab (to avoid bacteria) once a day for 7-10 days on the treated area
AVOID:
- Sweating/ Exercising for the first 7 days ( risk of infection)
- Steam room/ Sauna/ Swimming pools for 2 weeks
- Makeup on the treated area for 2 weeks (tattoos are open wounds!) Touching pet/animals
- Picking, rubbing, scrubbing, scratching (will cause pigment loss, scarring, and delay healing)
- Tanning for the first 30 days (outdoor & indoor)
- Laser treatments, chemical peels, intense facials and facial products for the first 30 days
